Rhinoplasty, or surgery to reshape the nose, is one of the most common of all plastic surgery procedures. Individuals interested in rhinoplasty are often looking to reduce or increase the size of your nose, change the shape of the tip or the bridge, remove a bump, narrow the width of the nostrils, lower or raise the nostril rims, or change the angle between your nose and your upper lip.
It is helpful for you to bring in photos of noses you like and dislike. It helps give us an idea of what your goals and expectations are.
Age may also be a consideration. Many surgeons prefer not to operate on teenagers until after they’ve completed their growth, ages 14-15 years old for girls and 18 years old for boys. Also, it’s important to consider teenagers’ social and emotional maturity, as well as, to make sure it’s what they, and not others, such as their parents or partners, really desire.
